Valve ha rilasciato la patch 6.87 per Dota 2, che è ora disponibile nel client di test ed approderà nel client ufficiale domani o dopodomani. Tale aggiornamento introduce importanti cambiamenti al gioco, la più sentita sarà sicuramente la fase di voto per i ban nella modalità classificata "All Pick", che dovrebbe definitivamente ridurre l'ansia dei giocatori nei riguardi dei "eroi op" di cui vi sono sempre lamentele a proposito verso metà vita utile di una patch di Dota 2.
È stata anche introdotta una nuova abilità di squadra, oltre all'egida della protezione, che permetterà di eliminare la nebbia di guerra da una zona di circa 900 unità per 8 secondi, con un cooldown di circa 4 minuti e mezzo, con l'ovvia limitazione di non poterlo usare per la fossa di Roshan. L'abilità permetterà anche di capire se vi sono unità sotto effetto del fumo del raggiro, senza però indicarne la posizione o altri dettagli.

Altri importanti cambiamenti riguardano l'aumento della crescita degli HP e degli HP di partenza, forse per contrastare l'eccessivo uso di eroi nuker o l'incredibile aumento del danno inferto con le ultime patch, e la possibilità di incrementare la potenza delle abilità magiche al crescere del valore dell'INT del proprio personaggio (1% per ogni 16 punti di INT). Il tipo di armatura leggera e pesante è stato eliminato, convogliandole nel tipo "Base", rendendo quindi la distinzione solo fra unità eroiche e non; ovviamente Roshan ha ottenuto una armatura di tipo eroe per compensare tali cambiamenti.

Modifiche anche alle torri, che ora danno un'aura di armatura alle unità alleate, oltre al danno delle tier 2 portate a quello delle Tier 3, che dovrebbe evitare situazioni di gank sotto torre. Cambiamenti anche alla mappa, con piccoli levellamenti alle zone meno riuscite della mappa.

Introdotti 3 nuovi oggetti: Il primo, denominato Bloodthorn, nasce dalla fusione dell'Orchid e della Crystalis e permetterà di silenziare un nemico e di donare agli attaccanti di tale unità 5 secondi di True Strike (colpo perfetto che elude l'evasione); Il secondo oggetto "Echo Sabre", nasce come fusione tra Staffa dell'Oblio e Ogre Club, e permetterà di fare due attacchi consecutivi con una riduzione di 0.6 secondi, rendendolo simile agli attacchi di Weaver ed infine la Hurricane Pike, fusione tra una Force Staff e una Dragon Lance, per rendere quest'ultima un oggetto ancora più adatta all'End Game, che permette di spostare tra di loro un nemico ed un alleato di 450 unità, donando la possibilità di attaccare il nemico senza limitazioni di range per i prossimi 4 attacchi, utilizzata su un alleato funzionerà come una Force Staff. Altri oggetti minori (Wind Lace e Blight Stone) sono stati introdotti per fornire statistiche minori e sono utilizzati nelle nuove ricette di vecchi oggetti.

Introdotti anche nuovi consumabili: Il tomo dell'esperienza è un oggetto che accumula esperienza con il passare dei minuti (10 minuti per guadagnare uno stack, parte da 0) e, quando utilizzato, fornirà ben 425 punti esperienza per stack presente e la Infused Raindrops, un oggetto a 5 cariche di cui ciascuna fornisce un piccolo e temporaneo boost alle abilità magiche.

Altre modifiche degli oggetti anche alle Ward e alle pergamene: Entrambi sono stati significatamente ridotti di costo, mentre le ward hanno subito anche una riduzione del restock e della durata. Riuscirà IceFrog nell'impresa di incentivarne l'uso tra i russi?

General

    Reworked Ranked All Pick. Before the picking phase begins, there is a 15 second voting phase to ban heroes. Each player votes for a different hero. Afterwards, half of the heroes that were voted on will be randomly selected and banned.

    Scans a targeted 900 AoE for 8 seconds. Indicates whether there are enemy heroes in that area during the 8 seconds.

    Note: Does not consider units inside the Roshan Pit, but does consider Smoked units. Does not show how many heroes there are, just if there are any enemies. Enemies do not know when your team casts it.
