È stato anche introdotto un nuovo sistema di audio a distanza, denominato echo, nell'engine vRage che permette di variare il volume degli effetti in base alla effettiva distanza del giocatore dalla fonte di rumore. Sono stati anche apportati diversi cambiamenti legati alla proprietà dei blocchi quando si costruisce in modalità Space Master. Sono anche stati aggiunti nuovi suoni ai fucili in modo da rendere possibile distinguere dal suono le loro varie varianti.
