Un nuovo aggiornamento di Dota 2 è in arrivo, e porterà la neve su Dota 2 oltre a molti simpatici cambiamenti :D
Il primo cambiamento, estetico, è sicuramente la mappa di gioco, che si ricoprirà di neve! È stato introdotto anche un cambiamento estetico al teletrasporto per i vincitori delle leghe di FantaDota.
Per i clienti dello shop la Valve ha introdotto una nuova cassa, denominata "Forziere delle Fiamme Congelate", contenenti set a tema, la nuova cassa a "Matriosca" (ovvero contiene ulteriori casse) denominata "Treasure of the Nested Cache", dei nuovi blocchi effigi, come quelli già introdotti nella 6.82 ma ovviamente di ghiaccio ed infine un pacco regalo che consente ai giocatori di impacchettare oggetti di Dota2 per regalargli agli amici :3

Tra i cambiamenti generali al gameplay salta subito all'occhio il buff dato alle "prime" rune (ovvero quelle che spawnano a 0 secondi), trasformate in rune del bottino che daranno, eccezionalmente, 100 unità di oro e 100 punti esperienza, un bel bust che ridurrà la lotta nella mid-lane per la prima runa in quanto non vi saranno rune in grado di dare un significativo vantaggio ad inizio gioco come nel caso di una runa del doppio danno.
Altro cambiamento è la riduzione della taglia data dalle caserme al singolo giocatore, ridotta di più di 200 unità di oro, ma in compenso la loro distruzione darà un pò di oro ad ogni giocatore.
La velocità di attacco massima è stata aumentata da 500 a 600, ciò porterà ad un inevitabile boost dell'ultimate di Windranger e dalla Furia di Ursa.

Altri cambiamenti riguardano l'HUD, è stata infatti potenziata la funzionalità di segnalazione degli oggetti, abilità e statistiche. Sarà infatti possibile utilizzare la funzione "ALT +" sul glifo annuncerà il suo status mentre premerlo con "ALT + CTRL" premuti sconsiglierà i giocatori dall'attivarlo. Segnalare abilità senza il mana necessario indicherà d'ora in poi l'esatto ammontare di mana mancante e sarà possibile d'ora in poi segnalare i propri livelli di mana e vita. Allo stesso modo è ora possibile segnalare quando un nemico è morto (e segnerà in automatico il respawn), la runa contenuta in una bottiglia nemica e sarà possibile segnalare eventuali malus e bonus attivi sul proprio personaggio.

Tra i cambiamenti agli oggetti si notano subito i cambiamenti al corriere, che d'ora in poi costerà 120 unità d'oro ma verrà rallentato quando trasporta una bottiglia non piena (ovvero a cui manca almeno una carica) invece che essere rallentato solo quanto trasporta una bottiglia vuota, cambiamenti ai prezzi delle ricette di Mordiggian ed Eul, Il cerchietto ha subito una riduzione di 20 unità di oro dal prezzo ma gli oggetti che lo contenevano come materiale hanno subito un incremento di prezzo della ricetta equivalente.
Grande modifica è la rimozione dello status "modificatore unico di attacco" alla Lama della Diffusione ma non stackerà comunque con altre fonti di mana-drain. Rivisto il medaglione del coraggio, che ora permette di dare il bonus all'armatura agli alleati in maniera analoga a come invece può rimuovere l'armatura al nemico. Altro cambiamento, che aumenterà notevolmente la possibilità di sopravvivenza dei giocatori, è che lo "stop" imposto dall'Amuleto dell'Ombra inizierà ad inizio invisibilità e non durante il fade-time.

Eviterò di commentare ogni singolo cambiamento agli eroi, visto che sono cambiamenti piuttosto numerosi, ma mi limiterò a commentare i cambiamenti che reputo più interessanti, come il piccolo buff a Crystal Maiden che la rende finalmente meno inutile in End Game, dandogli un Freeze ogni 7 secondi! Piccolo ma veramente devastante il buff dato a Drow Ranger, le cui illusioni otterranno il bonus dato dalla sua ultimate, incrementando cosi il suo danno e rendendo più conveniente una build contenente uno Stile della Manta. Interessante il buff dato a IO, che d'ora in poi non dovrà più considerare eventuali turnrate.

Abbastanza ambigua la modifica fatta a Gyrocopter, i cui missili possono essere spostati con il bastone della forza.Non capisco invece la modifica a Kukka, che rende gratuita l'abilità "X Marks the Spot" e la rende utilizzabile sui personaggi immuni alla magia e ne raddoppia la durata effettiva.
Altre modifiche curiose sono quella fatta a Sniper, la cui Q ora non fa più danno alle strutture ma guadagna cariche come la pugnalata di Riki, e a Lifestealer che d'ora in poi potrà controllare eventuali creep infestati comandandoli con una nuova abilità.
Modificata la Winrunner, che d'ora in poi non potrà più rilasciare il powershot a 0,7 per infliggere il danno massimo la l'abilità andrà canalizzata interamente, in compenso ha guadagnato una maggiore distanza percorsa dalla freccia e la sua ultimate aggiunge ulteriori 100 punti alla velocità di attacco.
Piccolo buff al danno delle mine di Techies che da questo aggiornamento in poi sarà abilitato nella Captain's Mode assieme a BloodSeeker!
Grandi modifiche e buff ad eroi che non ne necessitavano affatto saranno secondo me un vero e proprio suicidio che porterà ad una frettolosa 6.84: La Queen of Pain non aveva di certo bisogno di alcun buff ed invece ottiene che il danno della sua ultimate sia trasformato in danno puro che scavalca l'immunità magica! Non bastava Lina, anche lei enormemente buffata in questa patch con ben 2,5 secondi di stun e vari incrementi di danno sebbene fosse resa decisamente forte nell'ultimo aggiornamento?
Insomma, questa patch ha portato alcuni cambiamenti al gameplay che sembrano davvero ottimi ma in compenso sono stati buffati a schifo alcuni eroi che invece dovevano essere nerfati, senza considerare che è stata di nuovo stuprata senza ritegno la meccanica dell'immunità magica, aggiungendo altre eccezioni e convertendo un'altro nuke in danno puro.

Additional Changes
Gameplay

    When spectating a game with a team's Fog of War selected, you now only see what they can see in-world and on the minimap. This applies to player perspective as well
    Improved server stability under UDP packet flood attack by moving packet processing off of the game thread and onto worker threads.
    Added a sound effect that plays when Sange and Sange & Yasha's maim procs on an attack



Alt-Click

    Alt-Clicking now works on Passive and Unlearned abilities
    You can now Alt-Click your own, and your enemies', health and mana bars to announce the current health and mana
    If you Alt-Click an item or ability but do not have enough mana, the amount of mana needed will be shared
    You can now Alt-Click buffs and debuffs on your hero to announce them to your team
    Alt-Clicking now works for items without activation (such as Aegis of the Immortal)
    Alt-Clicked abilities that are ready now also include the level of the ability
    Alt-Clicking on a dead enemy's icon in the top bar will announce that they are dead, and when they will respawn
    Alt-Clicking your respawn timer announces your respawn time to your team
    Alt-Clicking on the Glyph button will announce its status, and Ctrl-Alt-Clicking the button will suggest not using the Glyph yet
    Alt-Clicking an enemy's bottle now shows what rune is inside of it



Bug Fixes

    Fixes for several effects being erroneously visible through the Fog of War
    Fixed a case where users had very large control group settings files, which was causing long delays after selecting their hero (some users in this situation have had their control groups reset)
    Fixed not being able to taunt sometimes after using a prediction charm
    Fixed Death Effects not playing



Workshop

    Fixed not being able to edit .pcf particle files when launching Dota 2 with "-tools -nop4"
